As of late, there have been many Trans men either falling sick or dying. I don’t want to say that I know the exact cause, but I can imagine that there are several factors involved. We are taking our lives into our own hands by undergoing procedures, taking hormones and basically doing things to our bodies that are not natural. I understand the need to transition, the dysphoria, but what good is it doing what we do, when we will die young or be ill?
Recently a friend of mine who was trans, died, according to the reports thus far, it was due to natural causes. My question is, how does a thirty something years old die of natural causes? Many trans men undergo procedures, are on hormones but have many health issues as well as emotional that are unresolved, yet still decide to transition without fixing the later, this will only lead to further health complications and even death. I know many of us rather not discuss this, but this is a topic that need to be talked about since the medical community is not well versed or basically in it for the money.
I know many of us are concerned, myself included. I am thinking of stopping Testosterone yet again. I have stopped twice befores giving myself a break from it, to allow the receptors to clean themselves out. You see, anything in saturation in our bodies can lead to cancer and disease, but why are the health care providers not letting us know this? Why are they not screening our brothers and sister better before just handing out scripts? Why is there little to know education regarding lifestyle and the do’s and don’ts while being on hormones.
My friend who died had many health issues, he was on medication for pain due to back problems, of which I try to educate him on a while back, but to no avail did I reach him regarding things he could do to change that. Many of us are in denial, but can you blame us, pills are being pushed upon us as the only source of relief. Pain pills as well as many of the anti depressants cause side affects, create further depression and even suicidal thoughts. We live in a world that is dominated by big Pharma and the corrupt food industry that is leading us to our death bed.
I can only hope that many in our community start to realize that their health is important, that being alive and well, even if you are in the “wrong body”, is better than being dead or sick, in the right one. Please try to understand what I am saying here, there has to be a better way, and we need to start talking about this before many more are gone to soon.
Much Love to all of you, but remember to always love yourselves too.
